Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA)
AC4S is a long-time corporate sponsor of the AFCEA Tampa – St Petersburg Chapter (aka – the Pelican Chapter). AFCEA’s Pelican Chapter, located in beautiful Tampa Florida, is a dynamic and vibrant organization with activities geared to all. A dedicated staff of volunteers drives this chapter in a direction that is good for its members and good for the community. AC4S is proud of its continued affiliation with this great professional organization.

National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)

NDIA is America’s leading Defense Industry association promoting national security. NDIA provides a legal and ethical forum for the exchange of information between Industry and Government on National Security issues. NDIA members foster the development of the most innovative and superior equipment, training and support for our warfighters and first responders through its divisions, local chapters, affiliated associations and events. AC4S is a proud member of NDIA, participating through the local Tampa Chapter.

National Contract Management Association (NCMA)

AC4S is a corporate sponsor of the NCMA. NCMA was formed in 1959 to foster the professional growth and educational advancement of its members. NCMA is a membership-based, professional society, whose leadership is composed of volunteer elected officers.

Project Management Institute (PMI)
PMI serves practitioners and organizations with standards that describe good practices, globally recognized credentials that certify project management expertise, and resources for professional development, networking and community. AC4S’ PMI-certified Project Management Professionals (PMPs) maintain their certifications by participating in a wide variety of PMI-sponsored training events, through project management work experience and by contributing to the body of project management knowledge.

National Classification Management Society (NCMS)
NCMS was founded in 1964 by a group of government and industry security classification managers and administrators who recognized the importance of establishing a society, national in scope, to advance the practice of Classification Management as a profession. Today, the Society has over 5,000 members and approximately 45 chapters in the United States and overseas including representatives from NATO countries. Within the U.S., members come from the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of State, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, General Accounting Office--virtually every Federal agency that deals with classification--and from the civilian contractors who work with these agencies. AC4S’ security professionals are active members of the society and recently hosted a regional meeting at the AC4S Headquarters in Tampa.

Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA)
AC4S is a corporate sponsor of the Air Traffic Control Association. ATCA has been from the outset dedicated to progress in the science of air traffic control and the preservation of a safe flight environment. It provides a forum where those concerned can address the issues inherent to the development of viable air traffic control systems and aviation infrastructures, and the ever increasing demands on the global navigable airspace environment. Those in the aviation community; the providers of air traffic control, system architects, manufacturers, suppliers, system operators and users join together in ATCA to share their collective experience and knowledge, and efforts in pursuit of common goals. Come visit AC4S at ATCA’s 57th Annual Conference and Exposition at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center September 30 – October 3, 2012.

Women in Defense

In April 1981, Women in Defense (WID) was established as a volunteer organization by 12 women who sought to provide professional development and networking opportunities for women working within the national defense community. Since then, WID has incorporated as a 501(c), affiliated with the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), established the HORIZONS foundation, and awarded more than 100 HORIZONS scholarships to women pursuing careers in national defense/security. Today, WID has more than 4,000 members and 20 chapters supporting women who serve our national security mission.
