As an industry leader in the United States and abroad AC4S provides Mission Support Services where needed. But as a Tampa Bay Corporate we also play an active role in participating in our local groups. This is why we have chosen to join and support our Women In Defense Chapter Group of Tampa Bay, our CFO Pauline McPhail and also one of the board members at WID along with other AC4S employee’s, volunteer their time to this wonderful striving committee. We are proud to be a part of this outstanding professional organization.
Every year the AFCEA Tampa – St Petersburg Chapter holds a charity golf tournament to raise funds for scholarships and other educational and philanthropic initiatives. As a long time chapter corporate sponsor AC4S participated this year as a tee sponsor and a hole sponsor.
Serving those who have served
For the last several years on Thanksgiving Day members of AC4S along with friends and family descend to the Veteran’s administration’s James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital in Tampa to provide home-cooked meals to patients, their families, and hospital staff. The AC4S family brings turkeys, hams with all the fixings and desserts to feed the patients and their families. AC4S does this to show these American heroes that the Tampa community appreciates the sacrifices they have made for our great nation.
AC4S sponsored the St Petersburg High School Baseball Team for school year 2011-2012. We provided monetary support to the team and our banner was proudly displayed at their games. AC4S also sponsored the Fossil Park Youth Softball team “Glory” (for girls under 12). Our proudly sponsored team is displayed in the adjacent photos.
Tampa Bay Academy of Hope
AC4S sponsors the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope as a targeted charity. Tampa Bay Academy of Hope’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth, adults, individuals, and their families, by providing positive development programs in a safe, supportive, and structured environment through which young people, adults, and their families can overcome economic, social, and educational barriers and achieve skills so that individually, each may become productive members of society and build strong families, leading to even stronger communities.
American Red Cross (ARC)
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the ARC has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering. AC4S strongly support the ARC mission with financial aid.
Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) – Our Corporate Executives and most of the senior staff have our roots in the US Military – with many of us having served in the special operations community. AC4S supports the SOWF as a key method of giving back to those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our great Nation.
Joint Communications Support Element Veterans Association (JCSE-VA)
AC4S has 27 employees with JCSE experience, bringing a total of 268 years of JCSE experience to support our customers. We are also very active in the JCSE Veterans Association and recently help to sponsor the unit’s 50th anniversary reunion. Members of the JCSE-VA representing the initial plank holders of the unit – the founding members – were present at the event. The celebration culminated in a 50th anniversary black tie event at Tampa’s Hyatt hotel. AC4S was present in force with 8 AC4S Executive and Senior Directors with their guests.
